CYF Program Discernment + Discussion Lunch

Dear Beloveds of the Aldersgate Family,

We stand together at a crossroads.

For years, this church has been a sanctuary for the laughter of children, the questions of youth, and the hopes of families building a life of faith in Bellevue and beyond. That has not happened by accident. It is the fruit of your faithfulness: your carpools, your Sunday school teaching, your showing up season after season so our children would know they belong to God and to this community. Thank you.

I have been meditating this week on Ruth, Naomi, and Orpah (Ruth 1). At their own crossroads, Naomi released her daughters-in-law to return to what was familiar and safe. Orpah kissed Naomi goodbye and went home, and Scripture does not condemn her for it. But Ruth said, "Where you go, I will go… your people shall be my people, and your God, my God." That choice ~…
